See what I read in April HERE
I loved this book SO much! The main character, Alice, falls and ends up with a concussion and memory loss. She can’t remember the last 10 years of her life, only being pregnant with her first child. She now has 3 children and her marriage is over- she’s in the middle of a divorce. The author takes you through Alice finding out about her current life and how she got there over the past 10 years.
What if you didn’t remember the past 10 years of your life? Would you be surprised to find out where you are now? Would anything shock you??
I highly recommend picking this one up! Next on the list –
The first half of this book I felt like I was reading a semi-young adult romance novel. Abby and Travis are in college and there’s the back and forth of will they or won’t they end up together? In the middle of the book, the scene changes and there is suspense that is much deeper than the developing relationship between them. I read this one in 2 sittings and could not get enough! I immediately purchased the sequel to this, Walking Disaster (below). Highly recommended reading!
In this sequel to Beautiful Disaster, the same story is told as in the first book, but from Travis’ perspective versus Abby’s perspective. Ingenious. If, like me, you weren’t ready for Beautiful Disaster to be over yet, download this one and carry on. Totally worth the purchase!
Imagine riding on a train to and from work every day watching the same houses and the people that live in them go about their daily business. What if one day, you saw something so out of character for one of those people that you’ve been seeing every day, that it shocked you enough to find out what was going on? This book had me hooked from the beginning. The main character is an alcoholic and I found myself, several times, saying “NO! Don’t!” to her. She made you cringe with both her words and her actions, yet she made you root for her at the same time.
Yes, she did some pretty crazy stuff, but that’s what landed her right into the middle of it all.
I read this is a few days and loved it! Go get it!
