I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend!! I know we did. I ate like a crazy person. A crazy person who likes to cook!
Two things for this Tuesday:
1) I recovered my dining room chairs over the weekend and it took about 2 hours. I have a nasty blister on my pinkie from the staple gun. I loved the old fabric but it had gotten pretty gross after 5+ years and multiple behinds (little and big) on them. (I made sure to Scotch Guard my new fabric!)
2) My car coughed and sputtered and felt like it was going to quit on me as I left work today. I panicked and prayed (a LOT!) that I could make it the 25 minutes home on mostly 2 lane roads without incident. I even googled a close wrecker service just in case I stalled out in rush hour traffic. So stressful!! As I got closer to the house, I decided to just drive to our repair shop and leave it there overnight so they could take a look at it. Luckily they were still open and the news was not great 🙁 Ignition Coil #4 = $200, Oxygen Sensor = $200, a few cracked valves & replacing spark plugs (they are the original ones and if I do it all at the same time, I save a LOT on labor) = $600. $1000 on a Tuesday. NOT COOL but so much better than a car payment! I’ll take a paid off vehicle that occasionally needs repairs over a monthly payment any day.
