Week 3 of our family’s Whole30 is in the bag! This was the hardest week BY FAR.
Pork chops, cauliflower rice, baked apples & green beans
*Side note: This Corelle dish pattern is the exact same that my grandmother had. Found an entire set at Goodwill for just a few dollars! Little V calls them Elsa plates (Frozen) because the design looks like little snowflakes.
YAY for a vintage score!
Beef stew with red potatoes, onions, carrots cooked in the Crock Pot (lasted 3 days!)
Steak, sweet potatoes, asparagus
Steak, King crab legs, asparagus (Valentine’s dinner)
Chili’s: we ordered take out, I got the TexMex bowl, but didn’t eat the rice, beans, cheese, corn. Basically chicken & guacamole. See Hungry Girl’s assessment of this alleged ‘healthy’ option and how to actually make it healthy!
Hamburgers in a lettuce ‘bun’, green beans, baked fries
Taco salad: seasoned meat over romaine, topped with salsa & guacamole (3x this week!)
Chick-Fil-A grilled chicken nuggets, fruit
Leftover hamburger, raw carrots, fruit
Leftover Beef stew
New find: Zoe’s Hibiscus green tea – they sell it by the gallon! Lunch was ordered in at work this week from Zoe’s for some training that was happening. I had already packed my lunch – taco salad – so I ate what I brought. There was a gallon of Hibiscus Green tea and I absolutely love it! I’ve had it in the restaurant before, but didn’t realize at the time it would be a great drink option during the Whole30. I highly recommend picking some up!
Coming up next…diving into temptation.
