(How I’ve worn my hair for the past 20+ years)
Easy like Saturday morning, when it’s sunny and 55+ degrees in January. Time for my every other month hair appointment. For as long as I can remember, I’ve had the same hairstyle- past my shoulders, long layers, semi banged (but always banging!) medium brown with various shades of highlights. The last few weeks I’ve been itching to try something new. New like a long layered bob. Or a lob, as it is.
Mind you, every time in the past 20 years that I’ve made any sort of drastic change, I love it for about 2 days and then get frustrated that I can’t style it perfectly. It goes back in a ponytail until it grows back and ends up below the shoulders with long layers. Again.
My stylist, Hannah, and I discussed a significant cut and the pros and cons. And then she said it “You know, you are going to have to style it. Every day.” Sigh. I know. But the lob is so cute! It would look amazing! Hannah agreed and said, let’s start with a little length off. I was still hesitant. If she didn’t take enough off, it wasn’t a lob and then is just feel like I had the same hair just shorter. Ok hannah, you decide. Surprise me!
Sometimes change is good 🙂
