Hi! I’ve missed you!
As I move through my days, I keep thinking of random things I’d like to share and have been wondering what are you up to??
In celebration of Tuesday (!), here are my Two Things this week:
- I recently moved into a new home and have found Pinterest organizational boards to be my new best friend. My laundry room specifically was in need of some help. I have plenty of cabinet space, even a mud sink, but as the weather warmed up and we are going to the pool more and more, I decided I needed hooks to hang towels on. I don’t like to wash beach towels every.damn.day., so I headed to Lowe’s to find some sturdy hooks that would work.
This is what I found (you can find it here):
Installation took about 10 minutes. It might have taken less time if I had any kind of clue how to install this anchor that came with the hooks:
Pro tip: go to YouTube and type in the name of the anchor, “toggler” (found this by googling a bit because clearly everyone else was having issues just like me!) and you can find a tutorial walking you through installation.
Even more of a pro tip, do not look up videos of how to hang different types of curtains because those videos are basic and generally no help and make you feel like you need a bottle of wine and a bendy straw when you stare at your fancy new curtains that are not on any kind of rod, yet.
Next on the list is a shelf with hanging rod that will be installed on the wall to the left of the musty towel hooks. Wait for it!
2. About 16 years ago I committed myself to a lifetime of engaging in activities I wouldn’t necessarily enjoy but that would make my sweet Laurel giddy with joy and one of those activities came to fruition last night. I’m speaking of the Justin Bieber concert. We’ve seen the Cheetah Girls (twice?), Miley Cyrus, One Direction (twice?), Taylor Swift and now Justin.
We’ve been praying he could hold it together the past 6 months and not cancel this stop on the tour. Let’s be honest, he was veering toward Britney 2007 meltdown territory.
Not gonna lie, his last album had some bangers on there and I was actually wanting to go. Laurel was going with her friend from our old neighborhood and one of my friends, Carrie, was taking her daughter and a friend. Instead of dropping them off and killing time before pick up, we decided to just go together. Mind you, we were not sitting with the girls, but were within one section of both of our daughters and felt like it was a win on many levels.
In true form, I had tanks made for Laurel and myself. Completely appropriate for both of us (you can find them here):
And Carrie and I were pumped to be in the throes of screaming teenage girls:
What did your Tuesday look like? Glorious, I hope! xoxo
